Competitors
| 15-16yrs & 17-18yrs:
One team from Redlands Roos/Mt Gravatt Echidnas/Central Sharks/Riverside Rays will be selected in both 15-16yrs & 17-18yrs.
Two teams from Southside Sea Eagles will be selected in both age divisions.
Students wishing to attend this trial, need to complete a Nomination and Students Details form, which is available from the School Sports Co-Ordinator.
School sport co-ordinators will be advised by the Regional Convenor which students are able to attend the trial.
13-14yrs:
Riverside/Redlands District will have a joint trial to nominate one team.
Mt Gravatt/Central Districts will have a joint trial to nominate one team.
Southside District will be allowed to select two teams. | 15-16yrs & 17-18yrs:
This trial will be a Direct to Met East trial process. Therefore, students wishing to attend the trial, will need to obtain a nomination form from the School Sport Co-ordinator. The Regional Convenor will then advise schools of who can attend the trial.
13-14yrs:
Two teams from Southside Sea Eagles will be selected.
Riverside/Central/Mt Gravatt/Redlands Districts - individual nomination forms will need to be obtained from the School Sport Co-Ordinator and sent to the Regional Convenor. There will be a District trial from the nominations received and one team will be chosen from the 4 Districts.

Trial
| Competition Draw - is a round robin followed by a Possibles vs Probables fixture if required.
| Draw will be sent to District officials prior to the trial. Trial will include skills session and games.

Competition rules
| Game time - start and finish on siren as per draw.
| Current NRL rules will be used during games.
|
Umpires/Referees
| Association referees will be used for each game, where possible.

| Selection procedures | As per MESSB policy, one teacher from each district team may be nominated as a member of the Selection Panel. | First aid | Sports medicine personnel will be available for the duration of the trial. |
| Risk management | A Curriculum Activity Risk Assessment (CARA) has been completed for this activity. Students must provide and use their own mouthguard. This is a CARA requirement.

State Championships
| The QRSS 13-14yrs Boys Rugby League State Championship will be held in Peninsula Region, 5 - 8 August 2027.
The QRSS 15-16yrs & 17-18yrs Boys Rugby League State Championship will be held in Peninsula Region, 20 - 23 May 2027.
| The QRSS 13-14yrs Girls Rugby League State Championships will be held in Peninisula Region, 19 - 22 August 2027.
The QRSS 15-16yrs & 17-18yrs Girls Rugby League State Championships will be held in Northern Region, 29 April - 2 May 2027.
