UmpiresWhere possible, Association umpires officiate each game.  Team officials may be called upon to assist with umpiring.
TrialRound Robin Games - draw to come
Selection proceduresAs per MESSB policy, one teacher from each district team may be nominated as a member of the Selection Panel.  Selections are final and no further play-offs will be held.
Competition rulesNormal netball rules.  Games will be 3 x 10min thirds.  Unlimited changes.
First aidSports medicine personnel will be available for the duration of the trial.
Risk managementA Curriculum Activity Risk Assessment (CARA) has been completed for this activity.

COVID-19 Safe Event:

The Qld Government COVID Safe Event Checklist has been completed for this trial.

To comply with the COVID Safe Event Plan, spectators will be allowable with the following restrictions/conditions enforced:

  • All spectators MUST adhere to social distancing

Players are encouraged to bring personal hand sanitiser, although sanitiser will be available if needed.

Players must bring their own water bottles to reduce the use of the communal bubbler.

Players must arrive in their playing gear, as change rooms will not be accessible.

If a student or parent/carer is feeling unwell, they are NOT to attend the trial.  Standard Met East Absent competitor procedures will be in place if a student still wished to be considered for selection but cannot attend the trial due to feeling unwell.

This may be reviewed if COVID restrictions change before the date of the trial.

Student OfficialsQueensland School Sport actively promotes the development of students becoming sport officials through the Queensland School Sport student official's program.

Students who wish to nominate to officiate at the State Championship are encouraged to register their interest via the Qld School Sport website.  https://queenslandschoolsport.education.qld.gov.au/officials/student-officials Registrations for 2022 QSS State Championship events will open early in 2022.

State ChampionshipsThe QSS 10-12yrs Netball State Championship will be held at Caloundra on 16-19 June 2022.  
The QSS 10-11yrs Netball Invitational Carnival will be held in Townsville on 13-14 August 2022.

Central Timing

Game time will consist of 2 halves with break time between halves and between games.  Game duration will be determined when draw is finalised after District team nominations are received.

Point scoring – scores will be recorded for shooting accuracy to assist towards selections.  One manager/ parent from each district will be required to score each game.

No injury time.  Teams will be allowed to replace players.

Netball Australia Rules will apply.
