Netball regional selection trial and state championship information.

Trial date	Thursday 7 March 2024
Trial starts	8:00am
Venue	Hisbiscus Stadium, Klumpp Road, Upper Mt Gravatt
Officials meeting	8:15am
Catering	Students are encouraged to bring their own lunch - however a canteen will operate at the trial.
Equipment	Each team to supply balls and bibs.
Shade	Indoor event
Cost	NIL
Umpires	Where possible, Association umpires officiate each game. Team officials may be called upon to assist with umpiring.
Trial	Round Robin Games - draw to come Boys trial structure - this will be determined after nominations are received by the convenor.
Selection procedures	As per MESSB policy, one teacher from each district team may be nominated as a member of the Selection Panel. Selections are final and no further play-offs will be held.
Competition rules	10-12yrs Girls - 12 min hlaves with 2 min half time, 4 min between games. 10-12yrs Boys - will be determined by the numbers participating from each district. 10-11yrs Combined - 12 min halves with 2 min half time, 4 min between games.
First aid	Sports medicine personnel will be available for the duration of the trial.
Risk management	A Curriculum Activity Risk Assessment (CARA) has been completed for this activity.
Student Officials	Queensland School Sport actively promotes the development of students becoming sport officials through the Queensland School Sport student official's program. Students who wish to nominate to officiate at the State Championship are encouraged to register their interest via the Qld School Sport website. https://queenslandschoolsport.education.qld.gov.au/officials/student-officials
State Championships	The QRSS 10-12yrs Girls Netball State Championship will be held in Toowoomba, 23-26 May 2024. The QRSS 10-12yrs Boys Netball State Championship will be held in Toowoomba, 23 May to 26 May 2024. The QRSS 10-11yrs Netball State Championship will be held in Toowoomba, 25-26 May 2024.

13–19 Years

Trial date	Monday 4 March 2024
Trial starts	8am - 2:30pm
Venue	Hibiscus Sports Complex, Klumpp Rd, Upper Mt Gravatt
Officials Meeting	8am
Catering	A canteen will operate at the trial.
Equipment	Each team is required to provide one match ball and bibs for team.
Shade	NA
Cost	NIL
Umpires	Two umpires per court for each game.
Trial	Round robin draw.
Selection procedures	As per MESSB policy, one teacher from each district team may be nominated as a member of the Selection Panel. Selections are final and no further play-offs will be held.
Competition rules	Central Timing Game time will consist of 2 halves with break time between halves and between games. Game duration will be determined when draw is finalised after District team nominations are received. Point scoring – scores will be recorded for shooting accuracy to assist towards selections. One manager/ parent from each district will be required to score each game. No injury time. Teams will be allowed to replace players. Netball Australia Rules will apply.
