Golf regional selection trial and state championship information.

Information	Combined 10-12 and 13–19yrs
Trial date	Thursday 22 April 2027
Trial time	7am - 3pm
Venue	Wynnum Golf Club, Stradbroke Ave, Wynnum
Catering	Bring own food and drink as there will be no canteen operating.
Equipment	Students to provide their own golf equipment, water bottle and sun protection. Players must arrive in playing gear, as change rooms may not be accessible.
Trial	This trial will be a Direct to Met East trial process. Therefore, students wanting to attend the trial, will need to submit a nomination form, which can be obtained from the School Sports Co-ordinator. The Regional convenor will then advise schools of the students who are able to attend the trial. Students must have prior playing experience and be approved as suitable to trial by their school.
Competition rules	13-19yrs A GA golf handicap is required by ALL players to be eligible to trial. Handicap Guide for 13-19yrs Boys - GA handicap 6 or less. 10-12yrs A GA handicap, Club Handicap (9 or 18 holes) or other recognised Junior Handicap used for competitive golf is required to be considered for an Invitation to trial.
Selection procedures	As per MESSB Policy, one teacher from each district may be nominated as a member of the Selection Panel. Selections will be final and no further play-offs will be held.
First aid	Sports Medicine personnel will be available for the duration of the trial.
Risk management	A Curriculum Activity Risk Assessment (CARA) has been completed for this activity.
Alternate date	In the event that this trial is postponed due to inclement weather the selection of the team may be based on Golf Handicap and player history in the event that rescheduling of the trials is not possible.
State championships	The QRSS 10-19yrs Golf State Championship to be held in Wide Bay Region, 13 - 16 June 2027.
