Golf regional selection trial and state championship information.

Information	Combined 10-12 and 13–19yrs
Trial date	Monday 11 March 2024
Trial starts	First tee time is 8:00am; registration for all players by 7:30am
Venue	Wynnum Golf Club, Stradbroke Ave, Wynnum
Officials meeting	7:45am at the Clubhouse
Catering	A lunch menu is available for personal purchase from the club house between 10-3pm.
Equipment	Students to provide their own golf equipment, water bottle and sun protection. Players must arrive in playing gear, as change rooms may not be accessible.
Cost	NIL
Trial	18 holes Stroke play
Selection procedures	On the day performance, Handicap and stroke average and player resume may also be considered. To be eligible to trial, 13 - 19yrs students MUST have an AGU Golf handicap (18 holes); while 10-12yrs students must have either a AGA handicap, club handicap (9 or 18 holes) or other recognised Junior Handicap used for competitive golf.
Competition rules	As per Golf Australia Stroke play rules 10 shot pick up rule (10-12yrs) No buggies or caddies WALKERS: Assistance with speed of play, scoring and rules of golf is required with 10-12yrs groups. Parent assistance is required (1 walker per group) to accompany each group during the trial. If parents have capacity to act as a Walker with a group this assistance would be greatly appreciated.
First aid	Sports Medicine personnel will be available for the duration of the trial.
Risk management	A Curriculum Activity Risk Assessment (CARA) has been completed for this activity.
Alternate date	In the event that this trial is postponed due to inclement weather the selection of the team may be based on Golf Handicap and player history in the event that rescheduling of the trials is not possible.
Forms	Nominations must be sent to the trial convenor via the school sports co-ordinator. Standard district forms must accompany the nomination form. DUE DATE: 1 March 2024 to the school co-ordinator. 2024-Met-East-Golf-nomination-form.pdf
State championships	The QRSS 10-19yrs Golf State Championship to be held in Metropolitan West Region, 12 - 15 May 2024.
