Cricket regional selection trial and state championship information.

10 - 12 Years

Equipment	Students to provide own personal equipment (bats, gloves, helmets, pads etc.) Compulsory - All students must wear an abdominal guard when batting. Helmets must be worn when batting and keeping. All safety gear, including a protector (box) must be worn. Trial	Trial games - Day 1 - Round Robin (24 over/innings) Day 2 - Poss v Prob longer overs match (approx 40)	Trial process will be determined once all Districts have submitted player lists.

Selection procedures	As per MESSB Policy, one teacher from each district team may be nominated as a member of the Selection Panel. Selections will be final and no further play-offs will be held.
First aid	Sports Medicine personnel will be available for the duration of the trial.
Risk management	A Curriculum Activity Risk Assessment (CARA) has been completed for this activity.
Alternate date	In the event that this trial is postponed due to inclement weather, the trial will be held on TBA. All other arrangements will remain the same. State Championship	The QRSS 10-12yrs Boys Cricket State Championship will be held in Metropolitan North Region, 6 - 10 September 2027.	The QRSS 10-12yrs Girls Cricket State Championship will be held at Wide Bay Region, 13 - 16 September 2027.

13 - 14 Years

Competitors	Mt Gravatt and Southside Sea Eagles will have a combined team of 12 players. Riverside Rays, Redlands Roos and Central Sharks Districts will have a combined team of 12 players.	Individual nomination process - see below.
Trial	District team officials will receive a program prior to the trial.	This trial is a Direct To Met East nomination process. Therefore, students wishing to attend, will need to see the Sports Co-ordinators at their school to get the nomination form. The Regional Convenor, will let schools know who is able to attend the Met East trial. Net and fielding sessions and game scenarios will be used for team selection
Competition rules	Round Robin Day 1. Day 2 - only those students invited back to attend.	Will be determined depending on the number of nominations.

15 - 19 Years
