Baseball regional selection trial and state championship information.

Trial date	Monday 5 February 2024	Monday 5 February 2024
Trial time	8:30am - 2:30pm Registration from 8:00am
Venue	Redlands Baseball Club Duncan Road, Sheldon
Catering	Canteen will be open Lunches must be pre-ordered in the morning
Equipment	Students will need to supply own personal playing equipment (glove/bat/helmet etc.) Players must bring their own water bottles to reduce the use of the communal bubbler.
Shade	Adequate shade is available at the venue
Competitors	Individual nomination via student's school
Cost	NIL
Trial	Program to be advised by the coach on the day. It will consist of drills, batting practice, throwing and fielding and a mock game.
Selection procedures	As per MESSB Policy, one teacher from each district may be nominated as a member of the selection panel. Selections will be final and no further play-offs will be held.
First aid	Sports Medicine personnel will be available for the duration of the trial.
Risk management	A Curriculum Activity Risk Assessment (CARA) has been completed for this activity.
Alternate date	In the event that this trial is postponed due to inclement weather, the trial will be held on TBA. All other arrangements will remain the same.
Forms	Individual nomination forms can be obtained from the student's school. The school will send the completed nomination form to the trial convenor.
State Championship	The QRSS 12-14yrs State Championship will be held in Benowa 18 - 21 April 2024. The QRSS 15-18yrs Baseball State Championship will be held in Kippa-Ring from 7 - 10 March 2024.
