Australian football regional selection trial and state championship information.

Selection procedures	As per MESSB Policy, one teacher from each district team may be nominated as a member of the Selection Panel. Selections will be final and no further play-offs will be held.

First aid	Sports Medicine personnel will be available for the duration of the trial.	Sports Medicine personnel will be available for the duration of the trial.
Risk management	A Curriculum Activity Risk Assessment (CARA) has been completed for this activity. Students must provide and use their own mouthguard. This is a CARA requirement.

State championships	The QRSS 10-12yrs Australian Football State Championship will be held in Peninsula Region 4 - 7 June 2026.

13–14 Years (New age group 2026)

Venue	Coorparoo AFC	Morningside AFC
Officials meeting	9:15am	8:30am
Catering	Bring own food and water bottles.	Bring own food and water bottles. No canteen facilities open.
Equipment	Students must provide and use their own mouthguard.	Students must provide and use their own mouthguard and football boots.
Shade	Shade available at the venue	Minimal shade available at the venue.
Competitors	Each district is invited to nominate one team of 23 players.	These trials are by individual nomination only. Forms are available at your school.
Cost	NIL
Umpires	Where possible, Association Umpires will be used for each game.	AFLQ umpires will be used for each game.
Trial	Round robin matches, then a possible/probables game prior to final team selection.	Warm-up and skills session, players will be divided into teams to participate in a round robin process. A possible/probables game may be held if required.
Selection procedures	As per MESSB Policy, one teacher from each district team may be nominated as a member of the Selection Panel. Selections will be final and no further play-offs will be held.
