Water polo regional selection trial and state championship information.

Information	Boys & Girls 15-18yrs
Trial date	Friday 6 March 2026
Trial starts	Girls: 12pm - 2pm Registration for the girls from 11:45am Boys: 9:15am - 11am Registration for the boys from 9am
Venue	All Hallows pool
Officials meeting	Selectors to meet prior to each trial commencing.
Catering	Bring own food as there will be no canteen operating.
Equipment	Students must wear a World Aquatics approved cat suit and swim cap. Students must provide and use their own mouthguard.
Shade	There is adequate shade at the venue.
Competitors	Students must have prior experience and be approved as suitable to attend the trial by their school.
Forms	Students wishing to attend this trial, need to complete a Nomination and Students Details form, which is available from the School Sports Co-Ordinator. School sport co-ordinators will be advised by the Regional Convenor which students are able to attend the trial.
Umpires	Accredited umpires will be used for the trial.
Trial	The format of the trial will be determined by the Regional convenor, depending on the number of nominations.
Selection procedures	An independent selection panel including the team coach will be in attendance. Selectors will grade players during the rounds and establish probable and possible match.
Competition rules	WPA rules Warm up 3 rounds Possible vs Probable's if required
First aid	Sports medicine personnel will be available for the duration of the trial.
Risk management	A Curriculum Activity Risk Assessment (CARA) has been completed for this activity. Students must provide and use their own mouth guard - this is a CARA requirement.
State Championship	The QRSS 15-18yrs Water Polo State Championship will be held at Capricornia Region 14-17 May 2026.
