Students compete at the All Schools Triathlon event organised by Triathlon Qld in order to be considered for the Met East Regional team. Register online via the Triathlon Qld website. Information regarding classification for the multiclass event is available from the school sports co-ordinator.

A team of up to 10 males and 10 females per age group may be selected in the Metropolitan East regional triathlon team to represent the region at state championships in each age division.
A team of up to 10 males and 10 females may be selected in the Metropolitan East regional aquathlon team to represent the region at state championships.
A team of up to 10 males and 10 females may be selected in the Metropolitan East regional multi-class aquathlon team to represent the region at state championships in each age division.
