Catering	Food may be purchased at the venue
Competitors	Each District is invited to nominate two swimmers in each event. Provision remains for more than two swimmers to be nominated where a district is able to show that all swimmers nominated in that event have met the following qualifying standards: 10-12yrs 2026 Qualifying times: TBC 13-19yrs 2026 Qualifying times: TBC 10-12yrs 2026 Multi-class qualifying times: TBC 13-19yrs 2026 Multi-class qualifying times: TBC

Distance Events Nominations	A number of events will not be swum at the regional trial. Students are to complete the nomination form and submit to the sports office before Friday 20 February 2026. 10-12yrs Distance Nomination form: TBC 13-19yrs Distance Nomination form: TBC 10-19yrs Multi-class Nomination form: TBC
Competition rules	Technical Officials from Swimming Qld will enforce the rules and procedures.
First Aid	Sports medicine personnel will be available for the duration of the trial.
Risk management	A Curriculum Activity Risk Assessment (CARA) has been completed for this activity.
Absent Competitors	Students wishing to apply for exemption from the Regional Trial, but would like to be considered for selection in the Met East team are required to complete the Met East Absent competitor Application form. This form can be found at the Met East website and must be fully completed and forwarded to the Met East Convenor via the district team manager prior to the commencement of the trial.
Results	Results will be shared with Swimming Qld and published on this website if the student has given the appropriate approval (Project Consent - permission to share FULL NAME). Results from Met East Swimming 2025: 2025 MER Swimming Trial Results (PDF, 479KB).pdf
State Championship	The QRSS 10-12yrs Swimming State Championship will be held 22-24 March 2026. The QRSS 13-19yrs Swimming State Championship will be held 25-27 March 2026.
