Water Polo Regional Trial Information

​Topic ​Regional Trial for 2020
​Date/s of Trial Thursday 27 Februray 2020
​Trials Commence at ​12.30pm for Girls and 1.30pm for boys.
​Venue ​All Hallows School Swimming Pool - Please note there is no onsite parking.
​Catering Bring own food as there are no facilities near the venue.
​Equipment​​ All playing equipment will be supplied. Students will need to bring personal playing equipment eg. Togs, mouthguard etc.

STUDENTS MUST PROVIDE AND USE THEIR OWN MOUTHGUARD.  This is a CARA requirement.
 ​   
​Shade A grandstand will provide sufficient shade for competitors and spectators.
​Competitors ​Each District is invited to nominate individual players.(As per attached District Nomination Form)
​Cost

Cost per player is $22.00 to cover venue costs, equipment etc.

Once accepted into the trial, each student is required to pay a trial levy of $22.00.

The payment due date is Monday 24 February.

Payment is to be made via the Met East School Sport online shop https://rssshop.education.qld.gov.au/met-east

New users must register an account before payment can be made. 

NO CASH PAYMENTS will be accepted at the trial. No pool entry will be charged.

No money will be accepted on the day.

​Umpires Association Umpires will be used for each game. However, team officials may be called upon to assist in umpiring when their own team is not playing.
​Trial Format of trials - a draw will be determined from the students nominated and an opportunity to trial in the positions nominated.
​Selection Procedures As per MESSB Policy, one teacher from each district may be nominated as a selector. Selections will be final and no further play-offs will be held. Selectors will be chosen from coaches, managers and district representatives present on day of trial
​Competition Rules Round Robin Games
​First Aid First aid kit will be at the venue.
​Risk Management Note: A Curriculum Activity Risk Assessment has been completed for this activity
​Forms

  • Individual Nomination Form (fully completed) to the Convenor no later than Friday 21/2/20 – 3pm. Nicole.barrie@ahs.qld.edu.au
  • Authority & Consent Form (Part A) – on day of trial.
  • Parental Consent Form – on day of trial.
  • Student Details Form – on day of trial.
  • Medical Details Form – on day of trial.
  • Principal Consent Form (signed and stamped by the school Principal) – on day of trial.

​State Championships To be held at Southport 30 April – 3 May.  Approx levy cost $300 + uniform cost
