Officials Meeting:
A meeting of team officials will be held at 8:00am
Catering:
A canteen will operate at the trial.
 
Equipment:
Each team is required to supply Jerseys
Students will need to supply all personal equipment
 
Shade:
There is adequate shade available at the field.
 
Competitors:
Each combined District is invited to nominate one team of 22 players. (As per attached District Nomination Form). Any students who turn 13 years of age in 2017 will require the ARU 2 year window forms for age eligibility.  Please note that no students turning 13 or 14 in 2017 will be accepted in the front row.  Please contact the convenor to discuss the combined District format. Format is also at the bottom of this letter.
TEAM MANAGERS MUST EMAIL A COPY OF THEIR TEAMSHEET TO THE CONVENORS NO LATER THAN THE 15th May 2017.
 
Cost:
                                              Cost per student is $20.00 to cover venue costs, equipment etc.
 
Note that on the day, District Officials will be required to confirm the number of students representing their District. Invoices will be based on this information.
The District Manager’s school will be invoiced for this amount.  Money will not be accepted on the day.
 
Refs:
Where possible, Association Umpires will be used for each game.  However, team officials may be called upon to assist in umpiring when their own team is not playing.
 
Trial:
4 x 22 player teams in Round Robin Competition
 
Selection
Procedures:
As per MESSB Policy, one teacher from each district may be nominated as a member of the Selection Panel. Selections will be final and no further play-offs will be held.
 
First
Aid:
Sports Medicine personnel will be available from the duration of the trial.
 
Alternate Date:
 
In the event that this trial is postponed due to inclement weather, the trial will be held TBC. All other arrangements will remain the same.

Team 2 Composite Brisbane SHS, Lauries
Team 3 Iona and Bayside District Schools
Team 4 Logan and South Combined
Please liaise with you partner school or district to ensure a smooth selection of players for the Met East Trial.

Team jerseys should be supplied by District Coaches

Any students who turn 16 years of age in 2017 will require the 2 year window forms for age eligibility.  Please note that no students turning 16 in 2017 will be accepted in the front row.  Please contact the convenor to discuss the combined District format. District Nomination Form:
Each District Secretary must return to the District Convenor Form C9 (Nomination of District Team to Attend Regional Trial).

Forms:
District Secretaries/Convenors are reminded to send their own District Team Forms with their Trial Bulletin to schools. Only students who have returned all forms will be permitted to compete at the regional trial.
 
District Team Managers/Officials will be required to verify that all team members have completed all appropriate forms including: Parental Consent, Student Details, Medical Details, Project Consent and Principal Consent.
 
Please return attached District Nomination/Team Details Forms to the Convenor no later than Friday May 24th, to the address as listed.
