Netball Regional Trial Information


​13-15 & 16-19 years Netball

​Trials Commence at ​8.30am
​Venue ​Queensland State Netball Centre (QSAC)
Crn Mains and Kessels Road, Nathan
​Catering A canteen will operate at the trial or students can bring their own food. Please be advised district coaches there will be no lunch or morning tea provided.
​Shade ​There is adequate shade available at the courts

​Cost per student is $20.00 to cover venue costs, equipment etc.

Note that on the day, District Officials will be required to confirm the number of students representing their District. Invoices will be based on this information.

The District Manager’s/Treasurer’s school will be invoiced for this amount. Money will not be accepted on the day.

​Umpires ​Two umpires per court for each game supplied by Metropolitan East. However, team officials may be called upon to assist in umpiring when their own team is not playing.
​Trial Competition Draw: Round Robin.
​Selection Procedures As per MESSB Policy, one teacher from each district may be nominated as a member of the Selection Panel. Selections will be final and no further play-offs will be held.
​Competition Rules

​Game time – start and finish on buzzer.  Game time will consist of 2 x 12min halves with 3 mins in between halves and 3 mins between games. 

Point scoring – scores will be recorded for shooting accuracy to assist towards selections.  One manager/ parent from each region will be required to score each game. 

No injury time.  Teams will be allowed to replace player.

Netball Australia Rules will apply.

​First Aid ​All Team Managers are required to bring their own first aid kit.
Sports Medicine personnel will be available from the duration of the trial.
​Risk Management ​School personnel are advised to ensure that students provide and use appropriate personal safety equipment (eg. Ankle guards, etc)

Regional guidelines for hydration should be expressed to students.

All medical conditions must be advised on the appropriate form.
