Trials commence at:
9.00a.m.
Venue:
Redlands United Football Club on Waterloo Street, Cleveland.
Catering:
A Canteen will operate at this trial.
 
Shade:
Limited Shade will be made available for coaches and selectors.  Teams are required to bring their own shade shelters if required.  There is also shade available at the clubhouse.
Competitors:
Each District is invited to nominate one team of 16 players.
Cost:
 
                                              Cost per student is $20.00 to cover venue costs, equipment etc.
Referees
Referees will be provided for all games.  They will be qualified officials from Football Brisbane.  Assistant referees will be provided from the Cleveland SHS Referee program.
Trial:
eg  Competition Draw: i.e. Pools or Round Robin or double elimination etc.

Selection
Procedures:
As per MESSB Policy, one teacher from each district may be nominated as a member of the Selection Panel. Selections will be final and no further play-offs will be held.  There should be 3 meetings during the day including in the pre trial meeting.  All coaches on the day from the districts are encouraged to have input into the selections.  Met East Coach and Manager should announce a squad of 16 players on the day. 
Competition
Rules:
FORMAT:    4 District teams in a round robin competition- Top team on Points is the winner of the regional championship.
Possibles and Probables match is played at the completion of round robin fixtures to determine the final selections for the Regional teams
SELECTION PROCEDURES:   As per MESSB Policy, each teams’                                                                       manager is a member of the selection panel.   Regional coach has the final say on team selections         
COMPETITION RULES: 20 min halves- 5 minute half time
Games must commence on time
Top team determined by:
points, goal difference, goals for, goals against
Points:3-win, 2-scored draw, 1-scoreless draw, O-loss
Players sent off automatically miss one game unless referees determine the incident to be of a serious nature.
Unlimited interchange will occur during the games. +

Aid:
Sports Medicine personnel will be available from the duration of the trial.  They will not normally provide strapping tape.   Ice will be available at the clubhouse.
Risk
Management:
A ground inspection will be conducted on the day of the event.  Qualified referees will be in control of the games.  Players must take the field with required safety equipment such as shin pads and suitable footwear.  All jewellery must be removed from players before taking the field.
 
Note: A Curriculum Activity Risk Assessment has been completed for this activity.
 
Alternate Date:
 
In the event that this trial is postponed due to inclement weather, the trial will be held on Thursday 15th of March 2018. All other arrangements will remain the same.

Shade:
Limited Shade will be made available for coaches and selectors.  Teams are required to bring their own shade shelters if required.  There is also shade available at the clubhouse.
