Officials Meeting:
A meeting of team officials will be held at MBC
Catering:
Bring own food as there are no facilities near the fields.
 
Equipment:
All playing equipment will be supplied.
Students can supply their own personal equipment (eg bats, gloves, etc.)
 
Shade:
There is adequate shade available at the field.
Shade will be provided for all teams
 
Competitors:
From schools in the Met East Region
 
Cost:
                                              Cost per student is $20.00 to cover venue costs, equipment etc.
 
Selection
Procedures:
As per MESSB Policy, the Coach and Manager/Regional Convenor are members of the Selection Panel. Selections will be final and no further play-offs will be held.
First
Aid:
Sports Medicine personnel will be available from the duration of the trial.

Note: A Curriculum Activity Risk Assessment has been completed for this activity.
Alternate Date:
 
In the event that this trial is postponed due to inclement weather, the trial will be held on Tuesday 24 August 2017. All other arrangements will remain the same.

9.00am. Warm up from 8.00am
Venue:
Anglican Church Grammar School

Officials Meeting:
A meeting of team officials will be held at 8:30am.
 
Catering:
No Canteen facilities will be available. Students are to bring their own food and drinks.
 
Equipment:
Each player is required to supply their own personnel equipment such as pads, bat, gloves, etc
Match balls will be supplied.
 
Shade:
There is some shade available at the fields. Teams should consider bringing shade.
 
Competitors:
Each District is invited to nominate one team of 12 players. (As per attached District Nomination Form)
 
District Nomination Form:
Each District Secretary must return to the District Convenor Form C9 (Nomination of District Team to Attend Regional Trial).
 
District Structure for Trial:
The Metropolitan East School Sport Board has approved a variation to the normal District structure for this trial. The following teams have been approved to attend this trial.

2.    Composite 2
3.    Logan / South Combined
4.    Bayside
 
 
Cost:
Cost per student is $20.00 to cover venue costs, equipment, sports med, etc.
 
Note that on the day, District Officials will be required to confirm the number of students representing their District. Invoices will be based on this information.
The District Manager’s school will be invoiced for this amount.  Money will not be accepted on the day.
 
Umpires:
Team officials may be called upon to assist in umpiring.
 
Trial:
Each District team will undertake skills stations in a rotation of 25 minutes duration from 9.00 until 11.00.  Lunch from 11.00 until 11.30.  Two trial games will then be conducted of 25 over innings duration from 11.30 until approx. 2.30.  Met East Side named at 3.00.  Short meeting with team for a 3.30 Finish.
 
Selection

As per State U14 Rules.

Please return attached District Nomination/Team Details Forms to the Convenor no later than Thursday 14 / 9 / 2017 to the address as listed.
 
District Team Managers are responsible for ensuring that all team members have completed their standard District Forms.
 
Students who do not have all documents will not be permitted to trial.
