Cricket Trial Information

 

10-12yrs girls cricket

​Boys, Girls or Combined ​Girls 10-12yrs
​Topic ​Regional Trials for 2019
​Date/s of Trial ​August 5, 2019
​Trials Commence at ​9.00am
​Venue ​DM Henderson Park (MacGregor Cricket Club)
​Officials Meeting ​A meeting of team officials will be held at 8.30am
​Catering Bring your own food as there are no facilities near the courts.
​Equipment​​ ​Each team is required to supply an equipment kit.
Students will need to supply own personal equipment if they wish (eg bats, gloves, etc.)
​Shade No shade is available or provided. Teams should bring their own shade.
​Cost ​Cost per student is $20.00 to cover venue costs, equipment etc.

 

Note that on the day, District Officials will be required to confirm the number of students representing their District. Invoices will be based on this information.

The District Manager’s/Treasurer’s school will be invoiced for this amount. Money will not be accepted on the day.
​Umpires ​Team officials will be rostered on for umpiring duties.
​Trial The trial will consist of skill sessions, net sessions and short games.
​Selection Procedures As per MESSB Policy, one teacher from each district may be nominated as a member of the Selection Panel. Selections will be final and no further play-offs will be held.
​Competition Rules Rules will be explained to girls on day o​f trial – depends on number of students attending trial.
​First Aid Sports Medicine personnel will be available for the duration of the trial.
​Risk Management Team Managers are advised that all care and consideration has been taken when arranging the trial. Please ensure that you inform all players of correct procedures when warming up before games.   ​

: A Curriculum Activity Risk Assessment has been completed for this activity.​
​Alternate Date In the event that this trial is postponed due to inclement weather, the trial will be held on 12/08/2019. All other arrangements will remain the same.

​Trials Commence at ​9.00am  (first game starting at 9:00am, arrival expected at 8:30am)
​Venue Redlands Tigers Cricket Club- 347-371 Birkdale Rd, Wellington Point   
​Officials Meeting A meeting of team officials will be held at 8:15am and again at Lunch Break    
​Catering Canteen facilities available. 
​Equipment​​ ​Each team required to supply own kit bags of pads, helmets, boxes, bats (if students do not have personal equipment)
Students to use their own personal gear
​Shade There is adequate shade available at the field.
​Competitors Each District is invited to nominate one team of 12 players.​ 
​Cost ​Cost per student is $20.00 to cover venue costs, equipment etc.
​Umpires Coaches will be required to Umpire. This is also sued as a basis for selection discussion.    
​Trial Round Robin ending in possibles probables on final day.

​Competition Rules As per cricket guidelines.
​First Aid ​All Team Managers are required to bring their own first aid kit.
