Trials commence at:

DM Henderson Park – MacGregor Cricket Club
Officials Meeting:
A meeting of team officials will be held at 8.30am
 
Catering:
Students and officials should bring their own food and drinks as there are no facilities near the playing fields.
 
Equipment:
Each district to bring an equipment kit. Students can bring their own cricket kit if they wish (eg bats, gloves, etc.).
 
 
Shade:
There is only some shade available at the field. Each district to also provide their own shade.
 
Competitors:
Each District is invited to nominate one team of 12 players.

District Nomination Form:
Each District Secretary must return to the District Convenor Form C9 (Nomination of District Team to Attend Regional Trial).
 
Cost:
                                              Cost per student is $20.00 to cover venue costs, equipment etc.
 
Note that on the day, District Officials will be required to confirm the number of students representing their District. Invoices will be based on this information.
The District Manager’s/Treasurer’s school will be invoiced for this amount.  Money will not be accepted on the day.
 
Umpires:
Team officials will be rostered on for umpiring duties.
 
Trial:
The trial will consist of skill sessions, net sessions and short games.
 
Selection
Procedures:
As per MESSB Policy, one teacher from each district may be nominated as a member of the Selection Panel. Selections will be final and no further play-offs will be held.
 
Competition
Rules:
Rules will be explained to girls on day of trial – depends on number of students attending trial.
 
First
Aid:
Sports Medicine personnel will be available from the duration of the trial.
 
Risk
Management:
Team Managers are advised that all care and consideration has been taken when arranging the trial. Please ensure that you inform all players of correct procedures when warming up before games.
 
Note: A Curriculum Activity Risk Assessment has been completed for this activity.
 
Alternate Date:
 
In the event that this trial is postponed due to inclement weather, the trial will be held on 24/08/2017. All other arrangements will remain the same.
