10-12 years sport

Athletes with a disability (AWDs)

AWDs, aged 10 to 12 years, are invited to compete for specific places in the cross country, swimming and track and field teams. AWDs aged 10 to 12 years are always welcome to compete against able-bodied students for places in any regional team. Teams containing students with a disability are accompanied by managers with the appropriate skills.
To compete as an AWD, a student must have a classification based on the athlete's disability. All information necessary to gain such a classification can be found on the Queensland School Sport's disabilities pages.
